meet lily angelo,

our luxury travel manager

At Limitless, we believe the best experiences start with people who know a destination inside out, understand what makes it special and have the connections to unlock something a little different.

That is exactly what our new Luxury Travel Manager, Lily, brings to the team. With a background spanning luxury hospitality, sales, marketing and the wine industry, alongside a deep connection to Scotland and a natural talent for bringing people together, Lily joins Limitless to help create highly personalised journeys and experiences for our luxury travel clients.

We sat down with Lily to talk about her journey into the industry, what luxury travel means to her, the Scotland she loves to share with others and why joining Limitless feels like such a natural next step.

Tell us a little about yourself and your journey into the travel and events industry?

I have lived in Scotland for so long that its skies, with all their millions of colours, have become the backdrop to my life.

I came here to find myself, and somewhere along the way I built a career, a family and a place that feels completely mine.

When I was a child, I wanted to be a vet because I adored animals. My mum, however, always told me I should go into tourism, or something involving people and relationships, because she could see that was where I would thrive. I studied Marketing and Public Relations, but she never missed an opportunity to remind me that I should have listened to her!

My career took me to The Balmoral, where I worked in sales and marketing for several years, followed by the wine industry, working with private clients and luxury hospitality.

Looking back, it all makes sense. I have always been drawn to people, hospitality, relationships and creating experiences. I have somehow acquired a reputation for “knowing everyone”. I am not sure that is entirely true, but I have always had a natural way of connecting with people, bringing them together and making introductions. I still get emotional when I hear the Scottish pipes, which probably says everything about how deeply Scotland has become part of me.

I arrived as a Portuguese girl looking for her place in the world, and somehow I ended up as a mum to two very Scottish children, living here and working with Limitless, bringing people together and creating memorable experiences through exclusive access and luxury travel.

So yes, my mum was right after all.

What does “Luxury Travel” mean to you?

For me, luxury is the feeling that someone has genuinely thought about you. My friends and family have always told me that I am a very good host. I notice the little things and want people to feel comfortable, welcome and looked after without having to ask. I think that instinct has followed me throughout my career.

In travel, luxury is not simply about how beautiful a hotel is or how expensive an experience might be. It is about being understood. Knowing what someone enjoys, remembering the details, anticipating what might make their day better and creating moments that feel personal rather than packaged.

That is what excites me about Limitless. Scotland is a place I feel deeply connected to, and I want to use that connection to create experiences that go beyond what a client might have imagined for themselves.

To give them something they did not even know they wanted, introduce them to the right person, open a door they would never have found themselves and create those unexpected moments that become the memories they talk about for years.

What is the best trip you have ever taken, and why was it special?

The North Coast 500 will always have a very special place in my heart.

I could genuinely sit here all day telling you stories about it. The landscapes, little roads, beaches, mountains, people, food and that feeling of being completely surrounded by Scotland. For me, the magic is not simply following the route. It is knowing where to stop, who to meet, where to eat, when to go and which little detours are worth taking.

More broadly, I would encourage anyone visiting Scotland to experience it with all their senses. See the landscapes, of course, but listen to the pipes, taste the whisky and the food, sit somewhere cosy, talk to people and hear the stories behind the places you visit.

And please try Cullen skink! It is one of my favourite Scottish dishes and I make a very good one myself, although I have to admit my husband’s cooking is considerably better than mine.

Scotland is so much more than beautiful scenery. It is the atmosphere, the warmth, the humour, the food, the music and, above all, the people that make it unforgettable.

What travel trend are you most excited about right now?

I am particularly drawn to the move towards more personalised and meaningful travel. People want access. They want to meet the right people, go behind the scenes and experience something that feels genuinely theirs rather than simply following a checklist.

I also find passion led travel incredibly exciting. Whether someone is fascinated by whisky, food, golf, literature, history, art, nature or architecture, you can build an entire journey around what genuinely interests them and create something far more personal as a result.

What attracted you to Limitless, and what are you most excited about in your new role?

What attracted me to Limitless was something I did not fully realise for years: that this job could align so naturally with my personality, the things I genuinely enjoy doing, and the professional skills I have built throughout my career.

So much of what comes naturally to me is part of this role. I enjoy people, creating connections, discovering places, bringing ideas together, and making someone feel that an experience has been created especially for them. Being able to combine all of that with my professional background feels like a very natural fit.

And then there is Angela! I had heard her described as the “goddess of DMCs”, so working with Angela so far has been amazing. Together with the rest of the team, she has created such a positive, welcoming, and inspiring atmosphere.

The vibe at Limitless is genuinely fantastic, and I feel very lucky to be part of it.

What excites me most is the freedom to create. Every enquiry is different, there is always something new to discover, and I can bring together the things I enjoy most with the experience I have gained over the years. I genuinely could not have imagined a role that felt this aligned with who I am and what I love to do.

If you’re looking to organise the perfect luxury travel trip to Scotland, we’d love to help make your dream a reality!
